We were delighted at the Great Yorkshire Show where MP Mark Spencer Minister of State for Food, Farming and Fisheries visited the stand to speak to GYS Chairman Joe Holmes.

Whilst Mr Spencer spends much of his time in the corridors of Westminster, he also farms near Nottingham, growing potatoes, vegetables, free range eggs, beef and lambs. Mr Spencer is also a great supporter of the Young Farmers movement, as he was the Chairman of National Federation Of Young Farmers’ in 1999.

Mr Spencer shared a message for Yorkshire Young Farmers about the benefits of becoming a member and the skills you can learn throughout your membership.
