It is with great sadness we have to inform you that Mr James Hill slipped away in his sleep last week aged 94 years old.

James was affectionately known as Jimmy and was the longest serving member of Northallerton Young Farmers’ Club, joining in 1941 and being associated with the club for 84 years.  During his time with Young Farmers, he was Club President from 1966 to 1992, and involved in both Cledales District and County. 

James was a long-standing Honorary Life Member of Yorkshire serving over 20 years in office and a Friend of YFYFC.

James was a mixed farmer from Wellfield House Farm at North Otterington and was renowned for his passion for vintage tractors. James leaves behind wife Dorothy, and daughters Barbara and Christine.

Mr Hill’s funeral will be held on Friday 27th October 2023 at 1.00pm at St. Michael and All Angels Church, North Otterington, Northallerton, DL7 9JG.
