GFW act as Agents for the Lartingon Estate. Their client, in a bid to support the next generation of farmers is launching an exciting initiative to give a new entrant to farming the opportunity having a five year farm business tenancy agreement on land at The Lartington Estate.
They are calling the project the Next Generation Farmers and the opportunity will provide a newly converted contemporary home and about 167 acres of land. The opportunity is designed for individuals who may be new to farming and who would typically face barriers when competing for a tenancy, such as lack of proven experience, barriers to accessing finance or risk aversion from landlords. The project is seen as a stepping stone providing the tools and experience to establish a farming career. By the end of five years, tenants will ideally have built the skills, confidence and credentials to apply for other farm tenancies.

The Landlord is willing to provide a Mentor to the new tenants and their Business Plan will be encompassed within the tenancy and monitored on a six-monthly basis to ensure the tenants are on track with their plan.
