Your County Office Team
Kelly Armitage – County Administrator
Kelly is yfc through and through having been a young farmer member. She was a member of Holme Valley for 14 years and held every office role available. She then moved through the yfc structure. She was chairman of South West District then became chairman of Development and Marketing Committee before she took the role of County Chairman in 2012-2013. She works part time for Skipton Auction Mart and has recently joined county office to help with a staff shortage. She currently works in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
A familiar face alongside Kelly at yfc events, is her 5 year old daughter Rosie. Kelly is also secretary at Northern Beltex Society.
Amy Clarke – County Administrator
Amy is a dairy farmer’s daughter and was in Nidderdale YFC for four years. She qualified as a chef but then moved into a pharmacy for eight years, so always been in high pressured roles, but now come back to her roots to work for YFYFC.
Massive extreme sports enthusiast earning her skydiving licence and completing over 40 solo jumps from 15,000ft. But it doesn’t stop there, whilst in New Zealand Amy took on the Nevis bungee, the highest bungee in Australasia. Need someone to do something mad with, put Amy’s name down – she’ll be there!
Sarah Todd – County Marketing & Press Officer
Writing up reports for the local newspaper while a member of Kirkbymoorside YFC inspired farmer’s daughter Sarah to become a journalist. She is well-known in the county as the former editor of Yorkshire Life magazine as well as being one of the Yorkshire Post’s most popular columnists. She also writes for national newspapers and magazines (including Farmers Weekly!).
Sarah’s teenage children are young farmers. She’s keen to help spread the word about YFYFC and happy to talk to clubs about how to send press releases out and how members can be a bit more switched-on about getting their message across.
