What is it?

Live and Carcase is a long standing competition in the Young Farmer’s calendar.

Members judge a class of 4 live and 4 carcase for Beef and Lamb or Pigs (on rotation by NFYFC) and are split into two age groups, Under 28 and Under 21s.

For the 2025/2026 membership year the stock will be beef cattle and lambs. Members will be asked to enter one class.

J&E Medcalf Ltd, Brookwood Industrial Estate, Burrwood Way, Holywell Green, Halifax, HX4 9BH.

Date: Sunday 19th Octobe 2025.

Judges & Stewards to register at 9.00am, members to arrive at 9.30am, with an intended start time of 10.00am.

All members aged under 18 will need to present a signed parental consent form (see below) and over 18s will need to present a second form of ID.

Please bring cash with you as we will be selling snacks and drinks.
