Over £2,000 raised during Spring Dance Live Stream

The spirit of YFC is still alive.

Despite weekly clubs meetings, competitions and YFC events being cancelled or postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping across the UK, the true Young Farmers’ spirit has shone through.

Bringing the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs into the modern times, the he Spring Dance 2020 was hosted online after the county event was cancelled, normally held at Club Amadeus in Northallerton.

Through donations made for song requests, over £2,000 has been raised for the NHS key workers and the NHS Nightingale Hospital to be opened in Harrogate. Thanks must go to Slingsby Gin of Harrogate, for their generous donation of £400 to this super cause.

Hundreds of Yorkshire YFC members joined the live stream, with others joining from further afield, including Cornwall, Lancashire, Cumbria, Durham, Lincolnshire, Wales and Northumberland federations.

Thanks must go to County Vice Chairman Stephen Jarmuz, aka DJ Jarmuz, for manning the decks and all who supported the event.
